Julie Wilson – Managing Director

Julie has worked for the past 24 years in the health care sector. She has a wealth of experience in many different areas of health care including working in both an inpatient and a community care setting.

We are a small family team and we believe that this helps us provide a more personalised service for our clients.

During her working life Julie worked as a live in carer and it was during this time that she was inspired to set up her own live in care agency

Julie’s most recent position has been working for social services as a senior care officer, managing a resource centre during the night and supporting clients with functional mental health needs.

Throughout Julie’s working life she has shown a continued commitment to supporting the needs of those she cares for.

She believes that every individual has the right to live their life in the way that they choose and it is with this vision that she is committed to providing a high standard of service to those who
choose to receive their care from Orchid Care.

 

i1Lynn Ley – Associate Director

Lynn works with Julie to ensure that high standards are maintained in the delivery of services to you and your family.

Lynn has extensive experience in the Caring Professions starting as a general nurse in the 1970s working with older people on hospital wards. Since then she qualified as a Social Worker in 1992 and has worked with older people, both in their own homes and as a manager of residential and day services. She also has a wide experience in the fields of mental health and in learning disability.

Lynn is a mother and a Grandmother and it is important to her that the service which is provided to you is one that she would be happy for her family to receive.

Currently Lynn has a part-time position with the NHS teaching Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy to people who are experiencing depression and anxiety.Throughout her long career, Lynn has always worked to ensure that the people she is supporting are at the centre of decisions about their care and in her management roles she has made sure that these values are translated into the work of her staff.



i2Peter Ley – Associate Director

Peter works with Julie and Lynn to deliver the care that you want for yourself and your family.

Peter has been working in health and social care services for twenty-five years in both the NHS and Local Authority having qualified as a Social Worker in 1998. He has worked with Older People specialising in supporting people with dementia as well as a range of younger people with mental health difficulties. He has ten years experience of managing both Health and Social Care Services across East and West Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

Peter is committed to ensuring that the care offered is guided by what is important to the people our carers are supporting. He believes that it is important to see the person before their condition and that there is always something new to learn about people.
